how we fixed our creatine manufacturing issue, and raised our transparency standards
January 14, 2026
At Ovrload, we believe trust is earned through accuracy, accountability, and openness.
In 2025, we identified a manufacturing issue that affected the creatine content in certain batches of our creatine gummies. While this was a challenging moment for our brand, it also became a turning point, one that led us to strengthen our quality controls, improve independent testing, and introduce new transparency tools for our customers.
As part of our commitment to transparency, This page explains what happened, what we changed, and how customers can now verify our products for themselves.
What happened in 2025
In early 2025, independent testing shared publicly, raised concerns that the creatine content in certain batches of our Crealyte® Gummies did not align with the amount stated on the packaging.
As these findings were discussed across social media and in fitness publications, it became clear that we needed to take immediate action to understand the issue fully and protect our customers.
Our first step: pausing sales immediately
Once it became apparent that there was a potential manufacturing issue, we made the decision to pause sales of the affected creatine gummies.
This was not a decision we took lightly. However, continuing to sell a product while questions remained about quality would not align with our standards, or our responsibility to customers. Pausing sales allowed us to focus entirely on identifying the root cause and implementing the right long-term solution.
Investigating the root cause
With sales paused, we carried out a full investigation that included:
-
Reviewing our manufacturing process in detail
-
Working closely with our manufacturing partner
-
Conducting additional independent, third-party testing
The investigation showed that the issue was manufacturing-related, rather than an intentional formulation issue. Creatine can be technically challenging to work with in gummy formats, and our existing controls were not sufficient to guarantee consistent label accuracy across all batches.
That finding made the next steps clear, meaningful change was required.
What we changed
1. A new manufacturing setup
We moved production of our creatine gummies to a new manufacturing setup in mainland Europe, with tighter controls designed to improve consistency and dosing reliability.
2. Ongoing third-party testing
We introduced routine, independent third-party testing, including verification through recognised and respected laboratories such as Eurofins. Testing is now an ongoing process rather than a one-off check.
3. Strengthened standards through certification
To further raise our quality bar, we aligned our products with Informed Sport, a globally recognised supplement certification program used across sports nutrition.
Introducing the Ovrload Transparency Portal
One of the most important outcomes of this process was the launch of the Ovrload Transparency Portal.
The Transparency Portal allows customers to:
-
Enter the expiry date on your pack
-
Access batch-related transparency information
-
Understand how our products are tested and verified
Rather than asking customers to rely on marketing claims alone, the portal gives them a way to check and verify information for themselves. This reflects our belief that transparency should be practical, not performative.
👉 You can access the Transparency Portal directly from our website.
How this changed Ovrload
Since the relaunch, our approach has shifted:
-
Greater focus on testing, process, and accountability
-
Clearer communication around quality controls
-
Systems designed to prevent similar issues from recurring
While no brand wants to face a manufacturing issue, we believe how you respond matters. For us, that response meant putting stronger systems in place and committing to higher standards than before.
